Initiated with Sectoral Competition Analysis and evaluated based on its success as a regional development model, clustering projects have been implemented in sectors with high competitiveness. OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone stands out as the region with the highest number of clustering initiatives in Turkey. There are 7 different clusters in the sectors of Industrial and Construction Machinery Cluster, Ostim Defense and Aviation Cluster, Medical Industry Cluster, Anatolian Rail Transportation Systems Cluster, Renewable Energy and Environmental Technologies Cluster, Communication Technologies Clustering and Rubber Technologies Cluster.

Industry and Construction Machinery Cluster

Industry and Construction Machinery Cluster mainly consists of manufacturing companies in Ostim region, including light construction machinery, industrial machinery spare parts, special purpose industrial machinery, mining machinery and spare parts, concrete plants, crushing and screening plants, asphalt plants, vehicle-mounted equipment and conveyor systems. The main purpose of ISIM (CMC) Cluster is to improve the innovative approaches and collaborations of member companies, to increase their national and international competitiveness and to enable them to become world-renowned brands.

Renewable Energy and Environmental Technologies Cluster

The main objective of the Ostim Renewable Energy and Environmental Technologies Cluster is to create a facilitative and guiding platform that increases cooperation and collaboration among all stakeholders in the sector, to increase the domestic production capabilities, national/international competitiveness and market share of local manufacturers in the renewable energy and environmental technologies sector, and to reduce our country's dependence on foreign sources by making Ostim a production center for energy technologies.

Defense and Aviation Cluster

A significant portion of the revenue of our cluster member SMEs comes from the defense industry, or they take their place in the cluster as approved sub-suppliers of major industry companies such as Aselsan, Havelsan, TAI, TEI, Roketsan, FNSS, Boeing, Sikorsky, etc. 
The main objective of the Ostim Defense and Aviation Cluster is to increase the share of domestic production in meeting the needs of the Defense and Aviation Sectors and to make the cluster member SMEs competitive in the international market.

Rubber Technologies Cluster

It is an initiative that brings together companies involved in the rubber sector value chain with universities, chambers, public institutions, and relevant NGOs, among other supporting institutions, with a specific goal in mind. As a member of the clustering family formed with the aim of promoting collaboration between the government, universities, and industry, it works towards the development of the sector and conducting efforts to increase its presence in the international platform.

Anatolian Rail Transportation Systems Cluster

Anatolian Rail Transportation Systems Cluster has set its main goal as producing domestic and national brand rail transportation systems from design to final product, and turning them into world-renowned brands in our country. It brings together leading organizations in the Turkish rail systems sector and undertakes the task of cooperation, collaboration, and national brand production in the sector. The aim of the cluster is to increase the production of domestic, innovative products and national brands in the rail transportation systems sector in our country by improving the level of cooperation between cluster member companies, supporting institutions, and each other, and to increase the international competitiveness level of the sector. It aims to produce domestic and national brand rail transportation systems from design to final product.

Medical Industry Cluster

The Medical Industry Cluster, which is managed with equal representation and common sense on an infrastructure created in accordance with the common strategies of all relevant institutions, was established with the aim of increasing the market share in the sector through collaborative competition. The aim of the cluster is to take a $1 billion share in the global market in 2020 with reliable domestic medical devices that offer integrated health technology solutions with advanced technology, design, software, and service integration in emerging niche areas in global markets, in addition to existing products and services, proven on international platforms.

Communication Technologies Clustering

The Communication Technologies Cluster brings together stakeholders in the communication technologies sector to act collectively, support and develop domestic and national development in the economy and industry, meet the needs of the sector and enable them to compete in international markets, commercialize the knowledge developed by universities in this regard, and meet the needs of hardware, software, and material manufacturers and service providers in the sector.
